Cyrus N. “Russ” White

Cyrus N. “Russ” White joined Board Veritas in 2021 as a Senior Consultant in Governance and Leadership and brings myriad gifts and talent to our team as a thought leader, speaker, and facilitator. Russ works with the CEOs and board chairs of foundations and other nonprofit organizations in education, healthcare, the arts, and community development. He has extensive experience as a nonprofit CEO and as trustee of private operating and community foundations. In addition to his private client portfolio, Russ is a BoardSource® Certified Governance Consultant and a Standards for Excellence® Licensed Consultant. Russ participated in the inaugural class of the Sociocracy Academy, discovering how sociocratic practices enhance the performance capacity of NGOs.

Russ serves on the leadership team of the Governance Section of the academic Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), BoardSource, the Standards for Excellence Institute, and multiple state nonprofit associations.
