Chris adds valuable deep expertise and dimensions to our organizational governance practice. Chris is an accomplished executive, entrepreneur, advisor, and board member of public and private companies.

Prior to collaborating with us, Chris was Managing Partner of the New York practice of Tatum, a Randstad company. Tatum provides executive leadership solutions to companies where leadership and subject matter expertise is critical to a successful client engagement. Tatum’s capabilities include providing interim finance and technology executives to fill roles in defined timeframes and the implementation of key initiatives and projects. Prior to Tatum, Chris was an advisor to the Single Family Mortgage division of the U.S. government Office of Housing and Urban Development, where he crafted an operational plan and human capital plan for the FHA mortgage business.

He also served as Vice President of Business Management and Strategy for the Single Family Division of Freddie Mac, where he created and implemented a comprehensive operational plan that included a governance and performance management system that measured, analyzed and improved business results. In addition, he created a risk management program that identified and managed barriers to success. This management system led to the reallocation of resources to highest value customers and improved profits through the redesign of the sales incentive plan and the reduction of G&A expenses.

Morris also served as division controller for the Single Family division and headed the Business Development group where he oversaw strategic alliances. Finally, he led a PMO formed to invest $10M to grow minority mortgage originations and oversaw regulatory reporting for the Mission Division of Freddie Mac.

Chris was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to a business development committee that promoted investment in the reconstruction and development of South Africa. He also contributed his expertise on best practices of strategy management and execution during a two-year collaboration of thought leaders from multi-national companies led by management gurus Robert Kaplan and David Norton.

Chris is recognized as a strong leader and developer of management talent with a focus on accountability and the achievement of business results. He has a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University.
